Greaver Signs with Cardigan Records

Post-hardcore quintet Greaver has signed with the North Carolina record label Cardigan Records. The group will deliver their debut full-length later this year, but today they released a two song EP called Lineage and Legions.

Lineage & Legions is the emotional epilogue to our first EP Clockwork Creatures,” says vocalist Michael Rozier. “Combining elements of post-hardcore, skramz, and shoegaze, it serves as a bridge between who we are now and who we once were.”

Rozier continues “I think we can all agree that linking up with Cardigan was one of the best moves for us to make at this stage as a band. We’re stoked to be a part of the family!”

Pick up Lineage and Legions at the Cardigan Records website or via iTunes.

The Ivory (AKA Shane from Alesana) Stream Debut EP Early

Alesana bassist Shane Crump recently branched out with a solo-project called The Ivory . The debut EP Gloom is currently streaming at AbsolutePunk and will be released independently on 6/30

Gloom is my passionate heart-aching love story,” says Crump. “This record holds all of the emotions I felt while going through the worst break up of my life. At the time, I had this dreary cloud resting over my head and couldn’t snap myself out of my melancholy state. God and music were my only outlets, so I poured my heart and soul into about fifty songs and picked five. This EP has helped me overcome many weaknesses in my life, and I can only pray that it helps mend another broken heart out there.”

The Ivory has also released a music video for their first single “I’m A Mess” featuring Sierra Kay of VERSA. Watch it here.

Minds Like Mirrors Turn up the Heat in “Monuments” Music Video

The ambient-metal group Mind Like Mirrors has released a new music video for their song “Monuments” complete with flaming instruments. Premiering with *HEAVY Magazine*, “Monuments” is the third single off the band’s upcoming EP Metanoia (release date TBA). The clip was directed by David Borges and was shot in various areas of the group’s home state of Maryland.

“This song is probably one of the best testaments to the meaning of our EP Metanoia. A changing of one’s mind, heart, self, or way of life, is something we chose to express visually with our track ‘Monuments’. While the song carries a different meaning for each band member, the message remains the same. You are not alone.” – Peter Austin (clean vocals)
