Generation Underground is a hard rock band from Central New Jersey. They are winners of Academia’s Best Rock Song of February 2020 for their song “Y.” They’ve shared the stage with bands and artists such as Attila, Chelsea Grin, Escape The Fate, Lorna Shore, Slaughter To Prevail, Cattle Decapitation, Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria, Carnifex, The Word Alive, Nonpoint, and Drowning Pool. They accumulated 46,000 streams in 6 weeks for their last album and charted #6 on the rock charts for Amazon music. Their sophomore album is two and a half years in the making, set to release worldwide this December.
The band just dropped their latest single “Pass The Needle”. hematically, “Pass The Needle” is all about moving on from bad situations. “ “Pass The Needle” was inspired by me watching some of my friends continuing to abuse drugs and believing that I needed to join them in order to write good music,” explains singer and guitarist Mike Florentine. “The song focuses on my journey to slowly rid myself of those toxic relationships and no longer associate with those people who were a bad influence in my life.“
The track is part of their Sophomore EP, Kold Blooded Vol. 2 due out in December.
