After coming off the road in late 2014, Gemini Syndrome’s creative core, vocalist Aaron Nordstrom, drummer Brian Steele Medina, and bass player Alessandro “AP” Paveri released their 2016 second full-length, Memento Mori, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and spawned the hit single “Remember We Die,” which hit #1 on SiriusXM Octane. The band spent the majority of 2016 and 2017 on the road with bands such as In This MomentMotionless In WhiteAvatar, and Starset before taking time away from the road to write and record their 3rd full length album.

SWIM THE CURRENT Releases Official Music Video for “Red Desert”

Greg Antine

SWIM THE CURRENT has released the official music video for their new single, “Red Desert.” Recorded at GoreGrin Studios and Rival Sound Studios and the video filmed and directed by Second Sight Music Videos/Nightcast Productions, “Red Desert” is off of the band’s upcoming EP, Bright Lights, which is due out in early 2020.

Player

“’Red Desert’ is a song about relationships and their upward spin that sails the oceans of elated emotions. Yet, the song also shows conversely those relationships that have gone south can be gut-wrenching; filled with emotional torture as they spiral down and the effects surface the cutting edge of pain. Relationships both upward and downward are matters of the heart and ‘Red Desert’ tells them very well. The highs and the lows all come out in the song.” – Greg Antine (Guitar)

Greg Antine a

Swim the Current was formed by guitarist Greg Antine as a project to showcase music ideas that needed a place to come to life. Antine combines his notable rock guitar talent and pushes his own personal development with a vision. Soon, he decided he wanted to take what he was creating and bring together a few local vocalists and musicians as guests and set a goal of music that pulls from the solid hard/metal rock. Taking the course of his precision guitar sound, he has pushed it forward to meet today’s rock demands. The sound of Swim the Current is set to capture a unique and distinctive blend of heavy, dark, and emotional rock. Most would say that Deftones are a big inspiration behind the infectious sounding music that this artist portrays.

From San Diego to Portugal, Swim the Current will inspire, and perhaps one day, make the world more universally connected through music, space, and time.

Greg Antine has performed with (Disciples of VerityHengine and Madjul). Presently, along with his project, Swim the Current, he is a guitarist for the metal band Slave Revolt.

Progressive Metal / Heavy Rock Band RUNESCARRED has released the official lyric video for “Mammoth,” the second single off of their upcoming LP, The Distant Infinite.

“’Mammoth’ is a crushing Beast of a song that tears through the walls we as individuals build before ourselves. Where this album, like many others, indulges in angry sentiment, ‘Mammoth’ closes everything out on a high note. The idea that if we shed all the parameters socially forced upon us and stay true to ourselves we can crush anything that obfuscates our true path. ~ Ven

BLACK HEART SAINTS Releases Official Music Video For Cover of ROBERT PALMER’s “Addicted to Love”

71ckHlQjP7L. SS500

Austin, TX based Rock Band BLACK HEART SAINTS has released the official music video for their cover of the 1986 ROBERT PALMER hit single, “Addicted to Love.”

The song and its accompanying music video mark the third part of what fans are calling the “Misery Quadrilogy.” Best watched back-to-back, the band’s music videos follow the fearsome foursome across a single day — starting from on the road in the Texas Hill Country to the recording studio. Along the way, drug-induced mayhem seemingly stands in the way of the band making it to their gig later that evening.

The video for “Addicted to Love” pays tribute to PALMER’s original video, which famously featured a band of female models. BLACK HEART SAINTS’ version tells the tale of a band experiencing LSD-like flashbacks while in a guitar shop. Watch as a mysterious shop owner transforms into Palmer himself, as the band joins in to create a hard-rocking homage to one of 1986’s biggest hits.

” ‘Addicted to Love’ has been long overdue for a remake. We’re taking some huge risks even attempting this song, and as our fans know, we don’t shy away from the unconventional. ” – BLACK HEART SAINTS

After debuting their first official music video for the hit single “Touch The Sky” on MTVVEVO, and YouTube, Black Heart Saints is poised to launch a memorable international career with ambitions to dominate stages across the globe. Half-way through 2016, the band gained nationwide airplay on Sirius XM’s Octane and Faction channels.

Foreshadowing a successful 2018, Black Heart Saints embarked on an extensive tour to the West Coast beginning in January, which included a highlight performance at the legendary Viper Room in West Hollywood, California. ALEX DONTRE–PSYCHOSTICK–Reveals Inspiring Autobiography, Dichotomies

Dichotomies Cover Front Only

ALEX DONTRE, drummer for acclaimed comedy-metal band PSYCHOSTICK, reveals all in his new autobiography, Dichotomies: Lessons from a College Life on Tour. A must read for any musician and / or college student, Dichotomies tells the unique story of the drummer’s simultaneous musical and academic achievements through the artist’s unique mix of humor and self-perception.

The touring band life of a full-time student is full of dichotomies. From 2011-2017, Alex Dontre performed 505 concerts with his bandPSYCHOSTICK while simultaneously pursuing a college education. It culminated with a master’s degree in Business Psychology from Franklin University, at which time he gave the commencement speech at his graduation as valedictorian.

Advance Praise for Dichotomies: Lessons from a College Life on Tour

“A remarkable first-person odyssey of a young touring musician who artfully combines his comedy rock music performances with completing demanding, long distance, higher education studies. Dontre offers a living, often humorous, and sometimes bawdy, chronicle of memorable characters he meets on the road.”
– Ray Forbes, Ph.D., Professor of Business Psychology, Franklin University

“I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place and cannot decide if this book is funny or insightful. As inferred from its title, that’s probably because it is both.”
– Mats E. Eriksson, Ph.D., author of Another Primordial Day, Professor of Paleontology, Lund University

“This is a must-read for any potential college student who thinks that they can’t do it, whatever the reason. ‘I’m not the college type…I’m too (fill in the blank…).’ After 20 years of teaching, Alex has motivated me to work harder to be a source of motivation to my future students.”
– Kristan Jones, Ph.D., Professor of Business Psychology, Franklin University, Director of HR Talent Development at Raymond James

“On tour, while the rest of us were crapping, napping, fapping or gormandizing, Alex was studying and working on speeches for his degree. It doesn’t end there, then he would play a flawless set every night on the drums.”
– Todd Smith, Dog Fashion Disco, Polkadot Cadaver, & Knives Out

“I will never forget walking off a soundcheck to find Alex’s face lit by his laptop while working on a psychology paper. Usually the few times I have seen people whip out laptops on tour is to pay their bills, Skype with the family, or to check in with their probation officers, and not to write academic articles.”
– Niklas Karvonen, Ph.D., Machinae Supremacy, CTO of Substorm

“Sex, drugs, and rock and roll is a tired cliché. Alex is a perfect example of a man with concrete goals, willing to utilize technology and time management to plan for his future.”
– Neil Patterson, Downtown Brown
