Industrial Legends LORDS OF ACID Release Highly Anticipated LP, ‘Pretty In Kink’!

After great anticipation and a handful of eye opening sneak peaks, iconic electronic band LORDS OF ACID has released their highly anticipated first LP in 6 years, Pretty in Kink! The fan driven and committed album, out now via Metropolis Records, is a refreshing throwback to the group’s legendary dance roots while continuing their reputation for creative innovation and polished showmanship.

Break Me player

Advance Praise for Pretty in Kink

“Wrapping up on a positive note of knowing one’s own self-worth and accepting individuality as the spice of life, Praga Khan has found yet another entertaining band of misfit toys to take his vision to fruition in a modern yet true-to-their-roots body of work. Pretty In Kink can be listened to in any order and still reeks of success as an album, plus it can hold its own next to the greatest hits from the late ‘80s into the ‘90s.” Cryptic Rock

“Lords of Acid are back with a highly anticipated new album on May 18. Clever as always, the title Pretty in Kink is a subversive take on a pop culture institution, chock full of the hardcore techno that the Belgian group has been pumping out for decades.” – Matt Matasci – mxdwn

Pretty in Kink is an amazing album that mixes all your favorite elements of Lords of Acid and adds a few more into the mix. The album has newcomer vocalist Marieke Bresseleers. Pretty in Kink starts off with ‘Break Me,’ which for me is a perfect way to start the album. The music in this one is like a very dark gothic industrial sound and the vocals just add to it. ‘Sex Cam Girl’ and ‘Flow Juice’ bring back the nasty side of Lords of Acid, and that’s exactly how we like it. No filters and straight to the point sexual advancements. One of my other favorite tracks is ‘What the Fuck.’ It’s got that more rap/hip hop flow to it but still has that Lords of Acid sound. This one makes me want to bang my head and makes everyone else look and ask “What the fuck are you listening to” and I just turn it up louder and flip the bird. The album ends with ‘We are the Freaks,’ it’s got the a rap feel to it as well and slow nice flow with it. The vocals are in Spanish but still kills.” – Empire Extreme

“There’s been a void in rave music and EDM over the past decade. There aren’t as many acts as there used to be who, in addition to having rock star status and pop cache, cover more than one genre at a time and bring together entire scenes with their music. With Pretty In Kink, Lords of Acid is poised to fill that void and show younger EDM’ers just exactly “What the Fuck!” is up.” – Layla Marino – Your EDM

“A full-length hardon has been created and will be released on May 18th to LOA fans. Electronic dance music has never tasted this good. What is even more thrilling is that this album seriously offers up something for everyone’s tastes. As pioneers in the world of electronic dance music Lords Of Acid’s longevity and survival of the contorted bits of drugs, sex, and rock n roll have continued to survive. How often can you take twenty years of deviant behaviors and raise a glass to the skies and still create some of the most complex electronic music found?” – Lolana Deetwick – RockAllPhotography

“Their mind-bending attitude fits well with their music, certainly with regard to this exciting sexual creation. If you’re feeling frisky, mentally undress yourself and get busy with the latest from Lords Of Acid.” – Tyler Trew – The Music Ninja

“Sex. Drugs. Danceable beats. Lords of Acid have been making sweet love to our ears since 1988’s “I Sit On Acid,” and clubs the world over haven’t stopped cumming. While they have experimented with various sounds over the decades, at the core of every track is rhythmic sensuality and ferocious energy, just waiting to splash across the dance floor. Most songs feature multiple sound bytes and samples, and the live stage shows often feature graphic sexual imagery, and even simulated sexual acts, to the delight of many a concert-goer. It should come as no surprise, then, that the latest album rekindles the passion and lust we felt all those years ago…Overall, the album is a welcome advance into the next chapter of the band’s career. The album has deeply penetrated my psyche, and I hope it is as good for you as it was for me. That IS what she said.” – ZTP Magazine

From his first single, “I Sit On Acid”, released in 1988, to the present, Belgium’s Praga Khan remains one of the most innovative acid house musicians in circulation. Thanks to extensive experimentation with drugs, Crowley-ian sex magic, and esoteric paths of self-deprivation and mutilation known only to himself, this orgiastic orchestrator created the LORDS OF ACID to further encapsulate the seductive messages and raw sex of his ever-evolving musical vision. From the raw carnality of their 1991 release Lust to the electro-thrash of 2012’s Deep Chills, Lords of Acid has re-defined the pure pleasures of drugs, hedonism, and deviant sex for thirty years. Now, despite numerous lineup changes, world tours, over 2.5 million album sales, and every possible point of crisis and conflict a band can face, Lords of Acid is returning to the unsuspecting again, this time with a new crew of deviants, dilettantes, and sonically transmitted diseases.

3 YEARS HOLLOW Release Official Lyric Video for “You and I”

Quad Cities heavy rock band 3 Years Hollow has released the official lyric video for their newest single, “You and I.”

“For us, ‘You and I’ was more or less a Thank You to our fans that have supported us over the years. This band has a new attitude and our past experiences have become the writing fuel for a new album that will break all the previous molds of what 3YH was. The break we took the last few years was much needed but we’re incredibly excited to be writing together again.” – Jose Urquiza (Vocals)

3 Years Hollow is a 5-piece band from the Quad Cities, a group of cities located along the Mississippi River in Iowa and Illinois. Jose Urquiza [vocals], Tony Reeves [guitar], Neil Kuhlman [guitar], Dex Digga [bass], and Chris Cushman [drums]—dispense honest hard rock that’s equally hypnotic and heavy.

Over the past decade, the group has solidified itself as one of the Midwest’s most incendiary and infectious young acts. Their breakout independent single “Remember” charted at #1 on Octane, while “Chemical Ride” is closing in on 1 million YouTube views. In 2012, they emerged as regional victors during the Ernie Ball-sponsored Rockstar Energy UPROAR Festival “Battle of the Bands”.

Playing the Tinley Park, IL date of UPROAR, they caught the attention of Imagen Records who proceeded to offer them a deal soon after. Now, with production by none other than Clint Lowery of Sevendust, their latest album bristles with irresistible intensity and magnetic melodies.
Becoming a local stalwart, 3 Years Hollow shared the stage with everybody from Papa Roach to Buckcherry, and they’ve siphoned their live energy into a kinetic anthems.

About the sound, Jose explains, “We want to play melodic hard rock. That’s the music that brought us together. At the same time, we all have drastically different influences from progressive rock to hair metal to pop punk. All of these other influences will begin to shine through as our albums progress hopefully.”

That cohesion comes across on the likes of “For Life”. Coupling a fret-burning solo and chorus from Lowery with Jose’s dynamic delivery, it practically explodes on impact.

“It’s about a person who is struggling and has fallen away from the world alone,” says the vocalist. “You can see the damage and the demons the person deals with on a daily basis. However, all of a sudden, there is hope instead of despair. The final message is to pull away from the demons, stand strong against them, and keep them out for the rest of your life. It was such an honor to bring that track to life with Clint.”

Then, there’s “Hungry”, which bares its teeth via a bombastic beat and arena-size hook. It taps into their on-stage intensity. “We wrote that in the jam space,” recalls Jose. “We want people to get close to the music. We give everything we can so fans forget about everything else.”
3 Years Hollow supported The Cracks with three (3) singles, all which cracked the Active Rock Top 40 chart and the Billboard Mainstream Rock Top 40 chart.

Ultimately, 3 Years Hollow constantly keeps the listeners in mind with that honesty. “Everything I write about is a completely personal experience or something I’ve witnessed or experienced myself,” he concludes. “I want to give everybody something real.”

Blacklite District follows no rules. With sounds of everything from electronic, EDM and hip hop, to hard rock and alternative, the band truly stands out from the pack of what has becomes today’s generic sounding “Active Rock”. Formed in 2012 by Kyle Pfeiffer and Roman James, ages 12 and 11 respectively, the band grew organically in their local music scene through the years to come. In 2011, BLD was discovered by Grammy Award-winning producer, Stephen Short (Paul McCartney, Queen), which resulted in a 10 day recording session at the world’s largest residential recording studio, Sonic Ranch, just outside of Mexico in Tonillo, TX. The group re-located to Los Angeles and played some of the most famous venues in the world for the remainder of 2011.

In 2013, the group released “With Me Now” as the lead from it’s debut album Worldwide Controversy. “With Me Now” immediately went to #1 on SiriusXM channels Octane and Faction, hit the Top 40 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Chart (#32), and sold 100,000 copies. BLD went on a very successful US tour with Saving Abel in Jan-Apr 2014, with 26 of those shows SOLD OUT. After a legal battle with their management and record label, Blacklite District went on hiatus in late 2014.

On August 23, “The Struggle” was release to radio and To Whom It May Concern went for pre-order at digital retailers. Revolver Magazine premiered the music video for “The Struggle” on August 25. The band also announced a 41 date tour called “The Struggle Is Real Tour”. Blacklite District released a Nightcore remix of “The Struggle” to YouTube on September 6, which got over 2,000,000 plays and resulted in the single breaking the Top 40 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Indicator chart at #36.

One month later, on October 6, the group released a Nightcore remix of “We Are The Danger” which got over 400,000 plays on YouTube. A couple of weeks later, the band released “Broken Souls” to radio, as well as a Nightcore remix which resulted in 500,000 plays and hitting #30 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Indicator. This was the second song in the month of October to break the Top 40 (along with “The Struggle.”)

“The Ghost of You and Me” was released as a music video and a Nightcore remix on December 28, 2016. The song was yet again a success for Blacklite District resulting in 400,000.

On January 20, 2017, BLD released “Living In A Nightmare” as the first single from upcoming album Instant Gratification. With a coinciding Nightcore release, “Living In A Nightmare” broke the Top 25 on the BDS Indicator chart, marking the bands highest spot in chart history. The song has been streamed over 250,000 times.

On February 24, famed radio DJ Lou Brutus posted the bands video for “Cold As Ice”, which was released the same day. The song scored a whopping 350,000 streams in its first week alone, and as of May 2017, has over 3.5 million combined views on YouTube. “Cold As Ice” serves as the second single from Instant Gratification. In the summer of 2017, “Cold As Ice” was added to Spotify’s “Rock Hard” playlist, and was put into rotation on SiriusXM’s alternative channel Faction. In October, “Cold As Ice” was added to rotation on SiriusXM Octane, and it’s Minecraft music video has over 10 million views on YouTube. There are about 4 videos about a Herobrine invasion with zombies and “nether watchers” and how the main character, a player in a blue suit, survives. There are 4 songs in total in the order of The Struggle, Cold as Ice, We are the Danger (possibly not from Blacklite District), and Just so you Know.

Blacklite District released their third album Instant Gratification on September 22, going Top 10 on Amazon’s Top Electronic Albums chart.

HOLD ON HOLLYWOOD Release Official Music Video for “Save Me”

Catch HOLD ON HOLLYWOOD LIVE with THE BUNNY THE BEAR, IT LIES WITHIN, and DEAD NOISE
Houston, TX Rock Band HOLD ON HOLLYWOOD has released the official music video for the title track off of their 2016 released EP, Save Me. Directed, Filmed, and Edited by Blake Ralston at Out of Mind Imaginations, “Save Me” introduces fans to HOH’s unique live experience in advance of their tour run with The Bunny The Bear, It Lies Within, and Dead Noise.

“When we were just getting Hold On Hollywood started, we were writing out a lot of different ideas to try and find our sound and get together a strong collection of songs we were proud of. ‘Save Me’ was one of those songs that just wrote itself. Everyone in the band contributed to its creation and the result was a raw, powerful, 7-minute epic that told a personal and relatable story. It has always connected with audiences and continues to be a crowd favorite night after night.

For the video, we wanted to try something a little different. We wanted to put out a lyric video for ‘Save Me’ but also felt it was important to capture the raw and personal essence of the song in the imagery. Our longtime photographer/videographer Blake Ralston came up with the idea of shooting our live performance of the song at Swan Dive, a small club in Austin, and cut the lyrics in over that footage. Everything you see in the video was captured in one take, as we performed the song live. The end result is raw, real, and personal…just like ‘Save Me‘ is, and we love that.” – Hold On Hollywood

New Jersey based alternative rock band JUST 6 HOURS has released the official lyric video for their single, “One Way Doors,” off of their sophomore EP, Sober, which is out NOW via Moto Records.

“‘One Way Doors’ is a song about drug use and not being able to become sober, like going through a door and not being able to open it back up, hence the title, ‘One Way Doors.’ The lyrics use quotes from real drug addicts – Just 6 Hours

Early Praise for Sober

“Jersey Shore-based Just 6 Hours’ forthcoming sophomore EP, Sober, finds the young band maturing with an angst-filled, metal-rooted, punk-fueled sound that will please fans of both Tool and Black Sabbath. Among the standout tracks is “One Way Doors,” which features such an emotional vocal delivery by singer-rhythm guitarist, Seth Barnett, it almost seems as if he is mistakenly trapped in hell and can’t get out. A blend of metal and blues guitar by Nick Marrotta adds to the intensity and integrity of the track.” – The Aquarian.

Los Angeles based hard rock band VYCES started in the summer of 2014 when Chicago native Dave Naruszewicz was looking to work on a new project following the disbandment of his former group Heart-Set Self-Destruct. After years of touring with such bands as Filter, Hell Yeah, Volbeat, Pop Evil, etc.., he realized it was time for change. He spent time working with other musicians in the Chicago music scene looking to feed his passion as an artist but he did not find what he was looking for. Dave’s vision was not deterred, so he decided to reach out to longtime friend and drummer, Russell Ray (formerly of Old Fashioned Beatdown).

Dave began flying to Los Angeles from Chicago twice a month to build something new, original, and undeniable. Russ then reached out to guitarist, Shawn Patterson (also formerly for Old Fashioned Beatdown). The three began writing demos together and also sending ideas back and forth over the internet which ultimately became the foundation of VYCES.

After a few trips to LA they decided to go into the studio with producer Augustus Cryns (Butcher Babies, Stitched Up Heart, etc..), and also featured Mark James Klepaski (Formerly of Breaking Benjamin, and Lifer) on bass. After a year of writing and recording the band had finished 22 songs of true emotion, and power. Being compared to such artists as Chevelle, Korn, and Red, they have sonically created a solid blend of active rock and metal. Dave describes the soul of the songs as exploring the darker side of human emotion and behavior saying “It’s something everyone can relate to because everyone has experienced some form of hurt, betrayal, weakness, hate, addiction, and/or lack of acceptance. It’s also the fuel that drives us to become stronger, get better, and overcome the flaws we’ve built in our minds.”

In October 2016 VYCES released their debut EP “DEVILS” and released a music video for the single “DEVIL” shot by Ron Underwood. From October through November of that year the band embarked on a the HELLRZZR TOUR which trekked across the U.S performing in 29 cities in 33 days.

VYCES spent the beginning of 2017 working on new material in between hitting the road on three national tours playing shows with Otherwise, Powerman 5000, etc.. In June 2017, the band released it’s first radio single titled “NOCTURNAL” accompanied by another music video shot by Ron Underwood, and features Butcher Babies own Carla Harvey. ‘Nocturnal’ reached #38 on the Mediabase Active Rock Charts making it their first top 40 single.

VYCES is currently preparing for 2018 with the release of their highly anticipated new single, ‘THIN LUCK’ which impacts national radio on 02/06/18 and will be on tour all year long.
