Chuck Mosley–ex-Faith No More/Bad Brains/Cement–Announce Fall Dates for “Reintroduce Yourself 2017 Tour”!

Legendary Front-Man Chuck Mosley–ex-Faith No More/Bad Brains/Cement–will be continuing his Reintroduce Yourself Tourinto Fall 2017. After a brief break from the summer run, they’re hitting the road today in Winchester, VA and will wind through the Midwest and up the East Coast before winding up October 15th in Toledo, OH. Chuck will be joined by Alex Bergeron Jr. (Agents of Oblivion/Deadboy/The Elephantmen) on bass, Dallas Sheppard (Nineball) on guitar, and Douglas Esper on percussion.

“I’m so excited, and I hope everyone else is excited too. We’ve had so much fun traversing the country this summer; the additions of a second guitar and bass have enabled me to bring the music up to the level that I have been hearing in my head, and expand the possibilities tenfold. We’ve made a lot of great, warm, and loving new friends–truly beautiful people–whom i cant wait to see again. We also can’t wait to be reunited with an equal amount of older friends, you all know who you are, see you all real soon! We also can’t wait to get back out tomorrow, but it always seems to go by so fast!!!! I finally want to send a very very special thanks to Michelle and Doug Esper (who a lot of you know as Mr. Harry Bickerson) without whom none of this would have been possible. To Doug and Michelle, and of course Mara and Owen, and both of their families, thank you for your faith, your patience, and your absolute trust in me. I love you all.” – Chuck Mosley

Chuck Mosley has been reported dead at least three times in his life, but he says, “In reality its only happened once.”

Now in the second year of his Reintroduce Yourself tour, which includes “a mix of old songs going back to the Haircuts That Kill days up through new material no more than a month old,” Chuck’s stubborn resilience has kept his career going through many phases.

Last year saw VUA, who Chuck handles vocals/guitar duties in, release, Demos For Sale, on EMP Records (A label run by David Ellefson of Megadeth and Thom Hazaert), he sang and played guitar on the latest from indie group Indoria, even recording an early version of his song “Bella Donna” for their EP, You’ll Never Make The Six. He also reunited with his old friends from Faith No More for two shows to celebrate the re-release of “We Care A Lot,” which cracked the Billboard top 200, thirty one years after its initial release..

This year, EMP will reissue Cement’sThe Man With The Action Hair, which was shelved just before its release due to a van accident that left Chuck with a broken back, unable to tour for over a year. The album was remastered by Bill Metoyer and features new artwork by Pip Logan.

Chuck also assumed lead vocal duties for Primitive Race, who will release their second disc, Soul Pretender this November through Metropolis. The album also features founding member Chris Kniker, a formidable record executive producer/producer for the likes of Lords of AcidtweakerProngRevCoKMFDM and more. Kniker is joined by Dale Crover (MELVINS), Mark Gemini Thwaite (Peter MurphyThe MissionTricky), Erie Loch (WiccidBlownload) and the aforementioned Chuck Mosley. Primitive Race recently found themselves embroiled in an online scandal with pop sensation and form child star Corey Feldman, who felt compelled to block them on twitter.

While playing extensively through the US, the U.K., and France, Chuck spit out a dozen or so new songs, which are being fine-tuned in preparation for an upcoming recording session with renowned producer Matt Wallace (Maroon 5MushroomheadDeftones)

When asked about producing Chuck’s new songs, Mr. Wallace said, “I’m fucking thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Chuck again. I’ve always been a die hard fan of the honesty in his lyrics and his deceptively simple melodies, that always become earworms and soulworms.”

Karl Phillips And The Rejects Release Official Music Video for “Plastic Gangsta”

Ska collides with Punk guitar riffs and mad rapping skills on the newest single from Midlands, UK based, 7 piece rock band Karl Phillips And The Rejects, “Plastic Gangsta.” Releasing May 10th with introductory spins on BBC1 Radio, “Plastic Gangsta,” which shows Karl Phillips following a young gangster as he goes about his day posturing and generally making a fool of himself, will be available to download 5/19 via Medical Records.

“I’m a fly on the wall in his life, one minute he’s flexing in his bedroom mirror, and I’m like, ‘what are you doing’.” Says Karl of the video. “Next minute, he’s doing gun signs but his mum is shouting him down for dinner.

“Plastic Gangster is about a guy who thinks he’s a gangster but he’s just a mummy’s boy, in his head, he knows it really. The song is saying ‘stop being an idiot, it’s embarrassing” – Karl Phillips

A completely original mashup of ska, punk & grime with a hip-hop nod at luminaries like The Clash, The Specials & Mike Skinner. Karl’s refreshingly honest lyrics test the boundaries of the human mind and the English etiquette, coming from a place most people can relate to but never dared to mention!

The last few years has seen Karl support chart topping legends such as Chase & Status, Example and Ella Eyre! To underground hero’s like The King Blues, Gentleman’s Dub Club, The Skints, Dub Pistols, Imperial Leisure, The Neville Staple Band, Dreadzone & Alabama 3!

Karl and the band have had radio play on numerous BBC Introducing shows, including BBC 6 Music, with music video’s airing on various television channels.

Headline gigs include The Garage London, O2 Academy’s and a sell-out EP launch at Camden Barfly! Squeezing in the odd gig in France…. Karl even gained support from the ‘Dont Flop’ Rap battle league after taking part in what might be the worlds first ever ‘Guitar Rap Battle!

Summers are spent in festival mode spreading the Ska/Rap/Punk vibe from Boomtown Fair, The Secret Garden Party, Strawberry Fair, Blissfields and Beautiful Days to as far as Summer Sound Festival in Latvia! Sharing stages with the likes of Bob Geldof, UB40, Wiley, The Subways, Tinchy Stryder, The Feeling, Skepta and Zane Lowe, meaning Karl and The Rejects have been performing non stop for several years…. and loving every second of it!

These brilliant tracks had us all crunking in the studio. It also left us in awe of Karl’s ability to rap and The Rejects ability to keep up with him… freakishly quickly, without stumbling over the words or beats! If we tried anything like that, we’d be breathless in seconds…” – Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music)

This is music to wake you up, slap you around the face to make sure you are listening, and force you to do an hour in the gym before breakfast…It’s perfect festival fodder too. This is the sort of sound that will draw people into a dark tent on a sunny afternoon or get them to get up and dance in the mud in front of an open stage” – John Bowery (Virtual Festivals)

Safe, So Simple Release New EP

11535856_964936853549043_9159150121009379198_n

Benson, AZ easycore/pop-punk band Safe, So Simple have released their sophomore EP Too Close To Closure.  The record’s title reflects the band’s state of mind during its creation.

‘Too Close To Closure’ has the work of three sound engineers and spanned 16 months to complete,” says drummer Derek Ausseresses. “Needless to say, there were times we felt as though it would never happen. Furthermore, quitting would have been easier and cheaper. Despite it all, we continued to face adversity and adopted the attitude that we were just too close to give up. We’d worked too hard and sacrificed too much. We deserved that sense of closure.

The record was produced by Matt Good from From First to Last and Cameron Mizell (Sleeping With SirensHands Like HousesPalisides) and also features guest vocals on a track from Joseph Candelaria of Forever Came Calling. Order the album now on iTunes.

Heat Of Damage Release “Judgement Day” Music Video From New Album “Open Fire”

7b9ff5ba29acc4938b0c27b2b4a2f4d5

Folsom, California Hard Rock / Heavy Metal band Heat Of Damage have released their “Judgment Day” music video from their debut album Open Fire. The video for “Judgement Day” was filmed at Ace Of Spades in Sacramento, California and was edited by Matt Thomas.

“Judgment Day” was written to be a powerful ‘F*ck You’ song, plain and simple. The lyrics are written from the perspective of someone who has been wronged, whose response is to be the better person. My contributions to the writing process come from my own experiences of essentially the exact same thing; being wronged and priding myself on being a better person than those who would treat me poorly. The musicality aspect of the song is very heavy, like 80’s era heavy metal sounding (interestingly enough, we called the riff ‘80’s metal’ before the song became Judgment Day). The harmonized guitar solo was thrown in because I am very influenced by the guitar stylings of Iron Maiden, and love the way harmonized guitar sounds.David Haug

The song started out as just a simple guitar riff that I came up with. As soon as I played it at a rehearsal one day, Julian started pounding away on his drums and the sound of the song started to take form. From the beginning I knew this song was going to be something special, and I was not wrong. We decided to make it the first official single from the album because it strongly represents exactly what Heat Of Damage is, and what this album will sound like as a whole. Personally, I think it’s the best song we have ever written.Nick Lassalette
