Imagine all the elements of a category 5 hurricane, and right in the middle of that storm is the most beautiful sunset… that’s The Clay People.

Whether it’s seeing a live show, or just listening to TCP, there’s a connection made very quickly between band and audience. A sense of comfort, knowing if you had a rough day, or are feeling down, that you can count on TCP to take you away from all that

The Clay People return on Demon Hero and Other Extraordinary Phantasmagoric Anomalies & Fables, an album that captures the band at a creative peak, and was forged from what was at times a tenuous, cathartic, and finally unifying recording process.

On Demon Hero Neet takes on the corrupting influence of modern politics, the silver tongue of the modern demagogue, the ills of groupthink, and the band’s experience with the music industry. “I’ve been plagiarized. I’ve been beat up. I’ve been manipulated… .And we’ve got nothing left to lose,” Neet confesses on the anthem “Bloodletter.”.

The Clay People’s self-titled album was released on Mercury/Slipdisc records, and their furiously propulsive lead single “Awake” climbed the radio charts. The band toured with Disturbed, Stained, Clutch, Rob Zombie, Static X, Stabbing Westward, and Filter.

“Awake” was featured in films such as Strangeland, Universal Soldier 2, and Marked For Death.

The band called in extended members of its musical family to contribute to Demon Hero. Chris Wyse of The Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehly, The Cult, and OWL, contributed bass to the band’s reinterpretation of fan favorite “Strange Day” and “Gen RX.”. Walter Flakus of Stabbing Westward, and one-time Clay People member, contributed keys. Wade Alin, who added programming to the band’s self titled release, returns on Demon Hero.

Dinsmore and McGarvey produced the album, turning to producer Neil Kernon (Nile, Queensrcyche, and Nevermore) for the final mix.

VATTICA Release Official Music Video for “Criminal”

CRIMINAL albumart

Hollywood based Alternative Rock Band VATTICA has released the official music video for their single, “Criminal.” Directed by Prentice and filmed and edited on location in Los Angeles, CA, “Criminal” is a direct criticism of the current political turmoil in American politics.

Player

“The word ‘Criminal’ really describes this administration perfectly”, says Alexander (vocals, guitar). “From the way they ‘won’ the election, to their active and purposeful targeting of the Latinx, BIPOC and LGBTQIA communities, to their enthusiastic and unapologetic support of blatantly racist, sexist and misogynistic rhetoric, to their ravenous erosion of any laws that restrict pollution, they are the epitome of corrupt. They are dangerous and need to all be voted out. For this video we tried to focus on the fact that this is all really happening now, this isn’t some distant historical event, and that it’s up to all of us to correct the course that these liars and thieves, these fascists, have set our country on.”

VATTICA square

VATTICA is an alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in early 2014, the band quickly built an impressive local following in Southern California, including on the infamous Sunset Strip, performing at legendary venues such as The Viper Room, The Roxy Theatre, The Echo and The Troubadour. VATTICA’s bombastic and energetic live show caught the attention of Another Century/Century Media Records, who promptly offered the band a recording contract.

VATTICA then set about refining their sound, which quickly coalesced into an arena-ready style reminiscent of alternative chart-toppers such as Muse, Starset, PVRIS, Our Lady Peace and Imagine Dragons.

Next, VATTICA entered the studio to begin recording their debut album at The Mix Room in Burbank, CA with veteran producer Ben Grosse (Breaking Benjamin, Daughtry, Filter, Red, Starset, Vertical Horizon, Third Eye Blind, Thirty Seconds To Mars).

In 2017 VATTICA finished their debut album, entitled “WE SURVIVE”. At the same time, Another Century was absorbed by Sony RED Music which ultimately resulted in VATTICA deciding to part ways with the label. VATTICA then joined forces with new management and released their first single, “Remember To Breathe”, on their own label in May 2018.

“Remember To Breathe” premiered on ALT105.3 (KITS) (and has been added to rotation on the station’s local music show SOUNDCHECK), as well as the iTunes “Alternative Music” page. It has also made it into Spotify’s “Discover Weekly” algorithm, amassing over 60k+ plays to date. The lyric video for “Remember To Breathe” received over 10k+ views on its first day and was promptly picked up by the popular YouTube channel spaceuntravel, where it has amassed over 40K views.

Dangerous & dirty, with a distinct groove steeped in classic rock, yet with a modern edge, Black Heart Saints gives fans exactly what they want – rock god vocals catapulted over explosive, memorable riffs – leaving legions of the rock ‘n’ roll faithful yearning for more.

After debuting at SXSW in 2014, this powerhouse quartet has been building a solid reputation as a support act for national touring bands such as Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, Sevendust, Pop Evil, Nonpoint, Coheed and Cambria, Filter, POD, The Toadies, and more.

The soaring vocals of front-man Josh Ross have drawn comparisons to Myles Kennedy and Chris Cornell. While the band is influenced by the likes of Mötley Crüe, Guns ‘N Roses, and other legendary Hard Rock acts, the commanding presence of Black Heart Saints’ live show brandishes an updated take on the genre.

Quickly conquering some of the biggest stages and festivals in the United States, Black Heart Saints has built an impressive resume, and has been recognized as one of the nation’s top emerging rock acts:

– Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Headliner
– Austin Chronicle Music Awards: Top 10 Best New Bands
– Austin Music Foundation Artist of the Month, 2017
– San Antonio’s Fiesta Oyster Bake Headliner
– SXSW Performer
– Buffalo Trace Battle of the Bands Grand Prize Winner
– ESPN X Games Austin Performer

In 2014, Black Heart Saints represented their hometown at the ESPN X Games in Austin. 2015 kicked off with key performances during South by Southwest Festival, Texas Rockfest, and Fiesta Oyster Bake in San Antonio. The band also went back to the studio to record a string of upcoming singles produced by Omar Vallejo at Austin’s renowned 512 Studios.

After debuting their first official music video for the hit single “Touch The Sky” on MTV, VEVO, and YouTube, Black Heart Saints is poised to launch a memorable international career with ambitions to dominate stages across the globe. Half-way through 2016, the band gained nationwide airplay on Sirius XM’s Octane and Faction channels.

In 2017, the band received two major accolades: Black Heart Saints was chosen as Austin Music Foundation’s Artist of the Month, and received a spot in the top 10 Best New Bands in Austin Chronicle’s Austin Music Awards for 2016-2017.

The band’s first full-length release – ALIVE – was soon followed by the Road to Sturgis Tour 2017, which put Black Heart Saints’ charismatic live performance to the test when the band took the stage at the world-renowned motorcycle rally, attended by over 500,000 bikers from all around the globe.

Foreshadowing a successful 2018, Black Heart Saints embarked on an extensive tour to the West Coast beginning in January, which included a highlight performance at the legendary Viper Room in West Hollywood, California. Throughout the summer, the band was tapped to support some of the biggest names in rock — both new and old, including Steel Panther, Dokken, Jackyl, as well as upcoming arena acts Blacktop Mojo and Joyous Wolf. After a successful onslaught of summer shows, Black Heart Saints will enter the studio this fall to record an upcoming record that is destined to be a chart-topper.

Los Angeles based hard rock band VYCES started in the summer of 2014 when Chicago native Dave Naruszewicz was looking to work on a new project following the disbandment of his former group Heart-Set Self-Destruct. After years of touring with such bands as Filter, Hell Yeah, Volbeat, Pop Evil, etc.., he realized it was time for change. He spent time working with other musicians in the Chicago music scene looking to feed his passion as an artist but he did not find what he was looking for. Dave’s vision was not deterred, so he decided to reach out to longtime friend and drummer, Russell Ray (formerly of Old Fashioned Beatdown).

Dave began flying to Los Angeles from Chicago twice a month to build something new, original, and undeniable. Russ then reached out to guitarist, Shawn Patterson (also formerly for Old Fashioned Beatdown). The three began writing demos together and also sending ideas back and forth over the internet which ultimately became the foundation of VYCES.

After a few trips to LA they decided to go into the studio with producer Augustus Cryns (Butcher Babies, Stitched Up Heart, etc..), and also featured Mark James Klepaski (Formerly of Breaking Benjamin, and Lifer) on bass. After a year of writing and recording the band had finished 22 songs of true emotion, and power. Being compared to such artists as Chevelle, Korn, and Red, they have sonically created a solid blend of active rock and metal. Dave describes the soul of the songs as exploring the darker side of human emotion and behavior saying “It’s something everyone can relate to because everyone has experienced some form of hurt, betrayal, weakness, hate, addiction, and/or lack of acceptance. It’s also the fuel that drives us to become stronger, get better, and overcome the flaws we’ve built in our minds.”

In October 2016 VYCES released their debut EP “DEVILS” and released a music video for the single “DEVIL” shot by Ron Underwood. From October through November of that year the band embarked on a the HELLRZZR TOUR which trekked across the U.S performing in 29 cities in 33 days.

VYCES spent the beginning of 2017 working on new material in between hitting the road on three national tours playing shows with Otherwise, Powerman 5000, etc.. In June 2017, the band released it’s first radio single titled “NOCTURNAL” accompanied by another music video shot by Ron Underwood, and features Butcher Babies own Carla Harvey. ‘Nocturnal’ reached #38 on the Mediabase Active Rock Charts making it their first top 40 single.

VYCES is currently preparing for 2018 with the release of their highly anticipated new single, ‘THIN LUCK’ which impacts national radio on 02/06/18 and will be on tour all year long.

Precious Child Releases Surreal, NSFW “WHOLE” Music Video!

Experimental video and musical artist Precious Child has released a provocative, NSFW new music video debuting their new release “WHOLE.” Created in collaboration with transmasculine multimedia digital artist/director Cade, and premiered on Paper Magazine, the video explores body horror, dysmorphia and abstraction of gender and identity in Precious’ vivid visual style.

“I directed ‘WHOLE’ at a time when I was at the cusp of reinventing my gender identity, both socially and biologically,” Cade shares. “In the video we allude to swapping bodies in a sci-fi scenario. We explore the controversial notion of ‘borrowing women’s struggle’ in a scene where blood travels from my vein through a tube and into Precious’ crotch, creating a simulated period. The experience itself was a ritual, as we both bled.”

Precious Child adds, “I think individuals should decide what they like and what they want to do with their body, accoutrements, lifestyle, and persona without regard to convention. The various symbols and signifiers are arbitrary.”

With the release of this new video, Precious Child announced they will release a new body of work WHOLE this spring. The album expands on the concepts explored in “My Little Problem (Violet Door)” and visual mini-album released last fall, Just A Body. In addition to the upcoming release, they are working on further new music with multiplatinum producer Ulrich Wild (SlipknotStone Temple PilotsWhite ZombieDeftones) and members of Filter and Puscifer.

Bloody, arresting, and surreal, Precious Child exists at the convergence of conceptual art and experimental music. The Los Angeles-based artist culls sonic inspiration from mainstream pop, industrial and metal to create confrontational and captivating audiovisual work. Precious Child’s 2017 album TRAPPED marked the beginning of the artist’s close collaboration with Cade, whose work explores the worlds of fetish, gender deconstruction and post-internet intimacy. Their first collaborative release was the video for “My Little Problem (Violet Door)“, which premiered via Paste Magazine, along with “Phantom”, an experiential audiovisual artist’s statement for TRAPPED. The videos have garnered a combined 1.65 million views across social platforms.

Prior to TRAPPED, Precious Child released full lengths Bloody Knees (2015), accompanied by a music video for “I Fall” featuring America’s Next Top Model alumni Nina Burns, and ESCAPE (2016), a soundtrack composed for the Neil Gaiman biopic “Dream Dangerously.” With the release of ESCAPE, Precious Child collaborated with Alabama artist Yonderpuss on video work accompanying the songs “Magic is Real” and “To Need”.

Gender accessories as seen in ‘WHOLE’ can be found here.

Precious Child Releases NSFW Video for “My Little Problem” & “Phantom” Off of ‘TRAPPED’ EP

george

Cinematic Progressive Industrial Artist Precious Child has released a highly politically charged, NSFW Official Music Video for the single “My Little Problem” off of his TRAPPED EP. Directed by Brazilian born and LA based artist Cade, “My Little Problem” was originally premiered on Paste Magazine.

“My Little Problem” is a song and music video about self discovery, synthetic nature, and sexuality. It is a collaboration between Precious Child and the director Cade.

“This video explores the current pop culture fascination with freeing ourselves from the decay and pain that is contingent with inhabiting a physical body. The question is, if technology allows us to transcend into conscious machines, unable to feel pain, will we feel anything at all but a pressing sense of existentialism? Vaporwave, goth, emo, and kitsch culture were an influence to this project as well as campy sci fi thrillers like David Cronenberg’s Videodrome.” – CADE

Precious also released “Phantom,” an experiential music video that illuminates the protagonist in “My Little Problem,” which was itself premiered on AntiHero Magazine:

TRAPPED is the 3rd studio album of Precious Child. Recorded in Los Angeles, TRAPPED is an EP featuring reinterpretations of tracks from Bloody Knees and ESCAPE as well as original tracks.

“Many of my songs have a common ancestor; when I write, the song I am writing often inspires another, and another, and another. Old ideas inspire new songs and new songs make songs out of old ideas. TRAPPED references these ouroboroses of creativity. I have been in the studio for many months working on an LP and this EP happened amidst the recording for the LP. See what I’m getting at? Hard to tell where the head and the tail begins. We have a desperate need for a reason to exist and art is my reason.” – Precious Child

Track List:
1. Phantom
2. My Little Problem (Violet Door)
3. Entity
4. No Such Thing as Time
5. The Past (Be Me Again)
6. The Past (Instrumental)
