“We won’t say who this happened to, but, we all like the bad girls. Face it, they’re fun. Girls, you like the bad guys too. You know, when there’s that person you know is no good for you, but it’s so right….at least the sex is anyway? So right, you get “The Itch” to go back, even when you know you shouldn’t because you’re addicted to them. You get “The Itch” to go back, because something about the way the treat you like shit keeps you hooked. Unfortunately, sometimes the bad girls (or boys) give you more than you bargained for. When “The Itch” sends you to the doctor, well, its a bitch.” – ADAM SHOENFELD (Vocals)

ADAM SHOENFELD

Lead guitarist and singer of Digital Brains is also part of the 70’s Rock inspired duo SunKat.

Sunkat’s song, Tom Petty, made it’s satellite radio debut on Steve Ferrone’s (of The HeartbreakersThe New Guy Show, on Tom Petty Radio Sirius XM and continues to pile up streams.

As a sideman, Adam has played guitar on over 30 Billboard #1 songs. Few people have had as big of a behind-the-scenes impact on modern country music as guitarist, songwriter and producer Adam Shoenfeld.

With the crunchy, loud and proud opening notes of his lead guitar on Big & Rich’s “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy),” and the edgy, aggressive tone heard on Jason Aldean’s breakout smash “Hicktown,” Shoenfeld blazed a trail for a wave of hard-rock influenced country that changed the genre forever — and he hasn’t looked back since.

Born in Huntington, New York, and raised in New Jersey with a love of jazz, blues, rock and heavy metal, Shoenfeld came to Nashville at the age of 19 and began working as an in-house musician at Woodland Studios. There he met “Big Kenny” Alphin and later John Rich, going on to became a member of the infamous music-and-art collective known as the MuzikMafia and Rich’s go-to studio guitarist, laying down demos for soon-to-be groundbreaking songs like Gretchen Wilson’s “Redneck Woman.”

With the formation of Big & Rich in 2003, Shoenfeld was invited to play guitar on the duo’s debut album, Horse of a Different Color, including the multi-platinum single “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy).” The song ditched familiar country sounds in favor of Shoenfeld’s brash, live-oriented feel, and helped open the floodgates in country’s new era of crossover success. He has since played on every Big & Rich album, and toured with the group from 2005-2007 and 2009.

Around the same time Big & Rich was getting started, Shoenfeld became member of Jason Aldean’s showcase band hoping to score the rock-loving Georgia native a record deal. Once Aldean was signed, Shoenfeld stayed on to develop the superstar’s muscular sound and provided the chugging, down-and-dirty lead on Aldean’s debut single “Hicktown,” which went on to become a Top 10 hit and earn platinum sales status. Shoenfeld has been featured on every subsequent Aldean release.

Following the success of Big & Rich and Aldean, Shoenfeld’s unique sound made him an in-demand studio guitarist, and he has now been included on over 200 albums including titles by Luke BryanKeith UrbanSteven TylerBlake SheltonFlorida Georgia LineJake OwenThomas RhettAlabamaTim McGrawLee BriceRascal Flatts, and many more. His work has led to nominations for the Academy of Country Music’s Guitarist of the Year award in 2011, 2012 and 2015, as well as numerous first round nominations for CMA Awards Musician of the Year award.

As a songwriter, Shoenfeld was awarded SESAC’s Song of the Year honor for Faith Hill’s “Mississippi Girl” in 2005, and he is also the co-writer of Big & Rich’s “Real World, “High Five,” “When the Devil Gets the Best of Me” and “M-E-D-E-L-Y of the Hillbilly Jedi,” plus Aldean’s “Laid Back.”

As a producer, he has guided projects for John Rich (Rich Rocks), Sarah Darling (Angels & Devils), Kelsey Harmon (One Big Favor), luvjOi (Volume 2) and more.

In 2012, Shoenfeld joined Tim McGraw’s touring band and currently travels with the group when he is not in the studio.

Early Praise for “Date From Hell:

“This film was a really nice surprise and I don’t think the title does it justice – not that I can think of a better one – because for some reason I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. What’s nice is that I really believe the main couple throughout every point of the film and, when we see the scene of them arguing in the bar, you think “oh man, here we go again”, because you probably know ‘that couple’ from your own local.” – HorrorNews.net

“utterly compelling and a great tribute to those 80’s movies us horror fans hold so dear and I would certainly pay good money to see more. What seems like a labour of love for Ven Scott, will hopefully help to propel him into the major leagues so that in the near future we can all enjoy Date From Hell on the big screen” – Chris Andrews – Mass Movement

“Date From Hell tosses in quite a bit of gore then a little more in just the right ways. If this debut short from Ven Scott is any indicator of the guy’s talent behind the camera, here’s hoping this isn’t the last we hear from him.” – Richard Propes – The Independent Critic

“For a first time short, this film was very well shot, excellent cinematography and attention to detail shots that perfectly give off that sweaty Texas metal vibe – from the cracking of beers to the lovely tattoos on the bartender, to the honky Toni accents of Bobbie and Susie.” – Robin Goodfellow – Drunk In A Graveyard

“If you see Date From Hell playing at a festival near you, make sure you get your arcane ass in a seat toot-fuckin’-sweet…a better short you’d be hard pressed to find in our beloved horror biz!” – Horror Fuel

untitled shoot-0319

New York based Heavy Alternative Rock Band N.a.s.H. has released both an official lyric and live performance video for their single, ” “D.i.t.c.h,” off of their newly released LP, Incredible Villains.

Player

“’D.I.T.C.H.’ is sort of the most honest description of love and love’s role in a relationship, from our collected perspective. Ranging from how Incredible it can be to how damaging it can be, to how all enveloping it can be.”

Player 2

“Love can take you to the highest of highs to the lowest of fucking lows, ‘D.I.T.C.H.’ Is definitely a song best served as ‘open to the listeners’ interpretation’. This was an easy selection as a second single because it also shows our range as a band…it is by far the heaviest song on Incredible Villains, and definitely explains how heavy metal and rock have played a huge role in shaping us not only as musicians and songwriters, but as people. We hope that people listen to the words and can relate it to a relationship in their lives.” – N.a.s.H.

N.A.S.H. is the type of band where all it takes is one note, one beat or one nudge from the fan next to you, a fan swaying to the band’s infectious music and charismatic live performance reminding you to forget about the day’s stress’ and to enjoy the show.

Hailing out of a small town not too far from New York City, N.A.S.H. came to fruition when a triad of brothers took their basement jam sessions to a whole new level of musicianship. At a young age – Bryan, Jim Bobbi, and Joe began their venture jamming to nostalgic hits from bands like Metallica and Pearl Jam. As they got tighter and developed their own sound, the brothers took to crafting original material that would speak to a wide audience and give them a platform to take their music to the masses.

Their music maintains a blend of hard rock adaptations that heavily incorporate crunchy guitars, epic solos, solid back beats, commanding bass lines and vocal passages that can woo even the most stubborn of music connoisseurs. N.A.S.H. is sure to captivate any fan with their catalogue of music regardless if it’s fast and loud, heavy and heart wrenching or a tune you can simply bang your head to as if you’re sitting in the back of Wayne and Garth’s blue flame-painted 76’ AMC Pacer.

As N.A.S.H. developed, they brought in the talented Dylan Johnson on lead guitars that resulted in an awesome live wall of sound and allowed fans to enjoy the music as it was recorded. The band has independently released their acclaimed debut Regain the High Ground and is currently in the works of preparing the release of their highly anticipated sophomore release titled Incredible Villains.

“Our performances are meant to bring back the age of big rock stage shows that leave your ears ringing, your neck strained, and your heart wanting more. Our fans are our friends, and they are the people we need to get our music to.”

BLOOD BATH AND BEYOND Release Official Music Video for Metal Cover of BRITNEY SPEARS’S “Hold It Against Me”

B3 Photo

Heavy Metal/Metalcore band BLOOD BATH AND BEYOND has released the official music video for their metal re-imaging of the 2010 Britney Spears’s hit pop single, “Hold it Against Me.”

Player

“We choose this song to re-work first, because it is popular and second because it has a hidden gem of a beat to it. We were able to really bring out the rhythm of this otherwise synthesizer fueled (Original Version from B. Spears) song, give it some edge and people seem to gravitate to it. The fun thing about B3 is we are seeing fans of various genres enjoying what we do, HIAM provides a taste of most of what we do and is honestly a great choice to be the first mastered single we provide. ” – BLOOD BATH AND BEYOND

The members of Blood Bath and Beyond converged onto Jacksonville, Florida in 2015 from all over the USA. Chaz Winter from New York (Vocals) met with Chet Lewis from Texas (Guitar) to discuss creating a band unlike anything currently available to the music enthusiasts of Jacksonville.

After a long, arduous search, “B3” was officially born in 2016 with the addition of Indiana’s Zach Harris (Drums) and New Jersey’s Jay Habermas (Guitar). The band quickly exploded in popularity, bringing a unique sound and unconventional stage presence to a local/regional metal scene that had grown increasingly stagnant in prior years. After 3 years, Blood Bath and Beyond has chosen to release “Hold it Against Me” (B. Spears) as their first official release as the song “Just gets people bouncing” and “Seems to be successful across fans of various genres”

The band is currently working on several audio and video projects, as well as expansion into new regional markets.

Filmed over a period of three nights in Llano, Texas the goal was to create a film clearly inspired by 1980’s horror masters. Of the film Scott says, “This became way more than I imagined. Much bigger than I hoped, and I am incredibly proud of this. The friendship and guidance from both Brandon Torres (cinematographer/producer) and Tracee Beebe (co-writer/producer) was and remains immeasurable. I can’t wait to share it with everyone!”

Scott adds that he hopes to make the film available to the public late in 2019, after the festival circuit has completed for the film.
