Connecticut rock outfit, Crossing Rubicon are releasing a new lyric video for current single titled, “Who’s Gonna Save You“. The single comes from the rock quintet’s 2016 full length, No Less Than Everything.

“Is there a God or not, who knows? But until we know for sure, we should respect each other or if not, the very person next to you could be the god that creates your Hell on earth. This song is a biblical style warning to people who cheat each other!”
– Scotty Anarchy

Purchase No Less Than Everything here and watch the new lyric video below.

Connect with Crossing Rubicon:

Crossing Rubicon began as a two-man project involving Scotty Anarchy and Pete Ahern (Red China Blue). The band then enlisted, current drummer Brandi Hood shortly thereafter. Zach Lambert came on board and the group’s second guitarist. Brandi’s long-time rhythmic accomplice Jeff Diablo joined in the spring of 2010 as the groups bassist to round out the lineup. Pete stepped away from the band in the summer of 2010. Rob Dolan (ex-Dirty Blonde, ex-Hot Mess) joined to fill the lead role through four very successful shows including opening slots for In This Moment, Nonpoint, Pop Evil, and Rev Theory. In March 2011, the groups current guitarist Matt Douglas took over as the group’s permanent lead guitarist.

Success continued as the band landed opening slots for Motley Crue, Bret Michaels, and Tantric. Bassist Jeff Miles stepped away from the band in late 2013 to be replaced by the groups current bassist, Steven Riccio. Crossing Rubicon’s music is often described as a throwback to metal of the 80’s and early 90’s, as band such as Queensryche, Alice In Chains, Metallica, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden, while having a modern rock sound.

Mallen Release Official Video For “Jack Of Cards”

UK Heavy rock band Mallen has released the Official Video for their Debut Single, “Jack of Cards”. Recorded and produced by David Radahd (aka Johnny RockerHeavens Basement) of Red City Recordings, “Jack of Cards” is available to download via iTunes,  Google Play and Amazon.

“Groove filled riffs, sweeping melodic verses and punchy choruses. A song that tells the listener what we are all about.” – Mallen

Mallen were more than a little humbled when asked to play an acoustic set on the forum stage before Alice Cooper and Mötley Crüe during Mötley Crüe’s farewell tour. Granted, an acoustic set would be a far cry from the wall of sound this Midlands (UK) hard rock band usually produces. But for legends like Alice Cooper and Mötley Crüe … they decided just this once, the dials could go from 11 to 10.

Formed in late 2013, the empowering, anthemic music of songwriter Dann Pritchard and the captivating vocals of frontwoman Kelly Jane were brought to life with the addition of bassist Dean Ellis and drummer Tom Crowfoot. A mutual love for Hot-rods, “Greasers” and heavy rock gave Mallen the fuel for inspiration and the band set to work on their first EP.

February 2015 saw the release of Mallens debut EP Ignition, which was well received between reviewers and radio stations alike. This sparked a stream of gigs for the band, including some great opening slots for bands like Toseland and Funeral for a Friend as well as the slot at the LG Forum stage at the Birmingham NEC during Mötley Crüe’s farewell tour. After which, guitarist Rhys Broomhall joined the band. With the retirement of Dean from the playing circuit left a very big hole to be filled within the band. However a challenge that was not daunting to bassist Joe Horton, who raised the bar to the next level for the band.

November 2016 Mallen released the single “Jack of Cards”. Recorded and produced by David Radahd Jones ( ex Heavens Basement), “Jack of Cards” set a new bar for Mallen’s sound. Groove filled riffs, sweeping, melodic verses and punchy choruses create a song that fans of Halestorm and Alterbridge would love.

AWAY Remixes THEY.’s “Motley Crue”

Untitled

The third signing to emerging label Mind Of A GeniusTHEY. (Drew & Dante) caught attention with their debut EP ‘Nu Religion’ in October of last year. Gaining support from Beats 1’s New York anchor Ebro, The Fader, BBC Radio 1 and more, THEY. are making their first inroads into 2016 with a 4 track remix package, that kicked off last week with their track “Bad Habits” remixed by Soulection member Esta. In creating a four track remix package for their EP, THEY. reached out to renowned production groups Soulection and Bromance, the results of which will be revealed over the coming weeks.

This week they reveal a new remix by LA Bred Producer AWAY (Alone With All of You). With deep-rooted influences in experimental rock and 90’s electronica, AWAY’s style is boundless. His focus is to create art that conveys emotion and a connection to a darker truth that most of us often suppress. A sonic fusion of similar artists like Flume and NIN, the AWAY sound is ripe to cut through the noisy indie/electronic music scene and make it’s mark on 2016.

12507397_616228888518205_6180434492980505764_nTHEY. are Drew & Dante. The two were introduced in Los Angeles through Dante’s production partner and best childhood friend ‘Big Drew’. At the time, Dante was churning out beats in the studio with the elusive producer, and now label mate, ZHU, and Drew had just relocated to LA from Maryland in search of a like-minded writing partner.

In an effort to move away from pop production towards something more boundary pushing, Dante saw Drew as the his ideal collaborator. Without even knowing it, they formed a group. Influenced by the two-singer dynamic of Taking Back Sunday and the nursery rhyme simplicity of Kurt Cobain’s lyrics, Drew and Dante meld their diverse musical backgrounds to create songs without boundaries that push forward the cultural needle. Melodically, Dante and Drew have a mutual admiration for late 80s gems such as Babyface and New Edition; “The Ralph” even features as one of Drew’s many studio voices. The pair combine these influences with their own limitless and evolving sound to produce something that can’t be placed into a box labeled ‘Urban’ and filed away.

In terms of their label affiliation, this came about in a true THEY. moment of serendipity – Dante ended up playing their tracks for Mind of a Genius founder, David Dann, as he was leaving the studio shared by all the artists. Two weeks later, the deal was penned. Four months later, the pair released their debut ‘Nu Religion’ EP. Look out for more from this duo throughout 2016.

BEAUTY IN THE SUFFERING Release Compelling 90 Second Video Collage!

b4202f24-2c4d-474e-909e-ca3cd9fc7fbc

Oklahoma City based BEAUTY IN THE SUFFERING, the electro-metal project from producer Dietrich Thrall (ex-DOYLE, MARAZENE), have posted their 2016 teaser in the form of a 90 second video collage which highlights the bands upcoming releases.

Teaser Track List:
1) “N.G.F.D.” (Never Gonna F*ing Die)
2) “YOUR LOVE” THE OUTFIELD cover
3) “REVEILLE”
4) “JULIET”

“For as long as I can remember I have always heard music in my head. Usually while I am in songwriting mode and I start scatting scratch vocals I will get a good sense of a lyrical theme and from there a story emerges. Sometimes the story is vast and communal and sometimes it’s just a feeling or a mood and much more personal.
From every aspect of this project ; music, lyrics, album artwork, and video, I wanted to try and create a multi-media experience that would shine a light from different angles on different core aspects of concepts that were running around in my head despite all of the financial roadblocks most independent bands face.
For my bands first videos it just so happens the first couple of songs took a zombie apocalypse turn. But whether the setting is that of a dystopian future or focuses on interpersonal pain from the present or demons from the past my goal has and will always be to enhance the musical experience through a cinematic approach.”
DieTrich Thrall

Pre-Order BITS Exclusive Music & Merchandise HERE.

Artist & producer DieTrich Thrall is known among industrial-metal fans for his work in the band Marazene (AKA: Marazene Machine), who scored a hit – and the approval of rock legends NIKKI SIXX and TOMMY LEE – with their extreme cover of Motley Crüe‘s “Live Wire” as well as horror punk fans during his touring stint with MISFITS guitar legend DOYLE WOLFGANG VON FRANKENSTEIN‘s solo project DOYLE.

In between flirtations and collaborations with rock n’ roll’s elite, Thrall has pushed ahead, never afraid to pioneer new ground, forming a new heavy electronic rock supergroup dubbed BEAUTY IN THE SUFFERING which features studio and media special guests from members of TRAPT, AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE,DOPE, ANTI-MORTEM, SKINLAB, EVERYBODY PANIC – with additional guests TBA.

For their first outing as a new band, Thrall and team decided to adopt a horror motif, beginning with the track “The Crazies (The Zombie Song),” which is no doubt influenced by the horror classics of George A. Romero – not just the film of the same name, but his beloved Dead saga as well.

“The Crazies” is the first of four zombie-themed music videos to be released and you’ll be hearing more about the project soon.
