Los Angeles based hard rock band VYCES started in the summer of 2014 when Chicago native Dave Naruszewicz was looking to work on a new project following the disbandment of his former group Heart-Set Self-Destruct. After years of touring with such bands as Filter, Hell Yeah, Volbeat, Pop Evil, etc.., he realized it was time for change. He spent time working with other musicians in the Chicago music scene looking to feed his passion as an artist but he did not find what he was looking for. Dave’s vision was not deterred, so he decided to reach out to longtime friend and drummer, Russell Ray (formerly of Old Fashioned Beatdown).

Dave began flying to Los Angeles from Chicago twice a month to build something new, original, and undeniable. Russ then reached out to guitarist, Shawn Patterson (also formerly for Old Fashioned Beatdown). The three began writing demos together and also sending ideas back and forth over the internet which ultimately became the foundation of VYCES.

After a few trips to LA they decided to go into the studio with producer Augustus Cryns (Butcher Babies, Stitched Up Heart, etc..), and also featured Mark James Klepaski (Formerly of Breaking Benjamin, and Lifer) on bass. After a year of writing and recording the band had finished 22 songs of true emotion, and power. Being compared to such artists as Chevelle, Korn, and Red, they have sonically created a solid blend of active rock and metal. Dave describes the soul of the songs as exploring the darker side of human emotion and behavior saying “It’s something everyone can relate to because everyone has experienced some form of hurt, betrayal, weakness, hate, addiction, and/or lack of acceptance. It’s also the fuel that drives us to become stronger, get better, and overcome the flaws we’ve built in our minds.”

In October 2016 VYCES released their debut EP “DEVILS” and released a music video for the single “DEVIL” shot by Ron Underwood. From October through November of that year the band embarked on a the HELLRZZR TOUR which trekked across the U.S performing in 29 cities in 33 days.

VYCES spent the beginning of 2017 working on new material in between hitting the road on three national tours playing shows with Otherwise, Powerman 5000, etc.. In June 2017, the band released it’s first radio single titled “NOCTURNAL” accompanied by another music video shot by Ron Underwood, and features Butcher Babies own Carla Harvey. ‘Nocturnal’ reached #38 on the Mediabase Active Rock Charts making it their first top 40 single.

VYCES is currently preparing for 2018 with the release of their highly anticipated new single, ‘THIN LUCK’ which impacts national radio on 02/06/18 and will be on tour all year long.

A KILLER’S CONFESSION Releases Official Music Video for “Angel On The Outside”

Hard Rock Band A KILLER’S CONFESSION, led by former Mushroomhead vocalist Waylon Reavis, has released the Official Music Video for their new single, “Angel On The Outside.”

“This song is about a transition I went through in my life. Out from the last phase and into this exciting new phase! This video shows how decisions can change the course of your life forever – sometimes for good and sometimes bad. Sometimes we have to live with things we have done and we are stuck remembering what you’ve done and wishing you could change it and how we can learn from our actions and make better choices every day.”

“The AKC beast will not be contained and are continuing to create new material. The addition of Morgan and Rocky have raised the energy up through the roof. The plan for 2018 is to write and tour and record the new album and tour and tour!” – Waylon Reavis

“Angel on the Outside” plays the contrasts of quiet and loud quite well, providing a soundscape with triumphant, uplifting guitar, a blend of highly melodic and gruffly guttural vocals and an overall anthemic sound that is certain to draw in listeners.

The longing in Reavis’ voice shines through he belts with determination, “So if I can’t take flight / I need the will to fight / And with my demons I deny / The angel on the outside / And when the sky turns black/ There is no turning back alive / And with my demons I deny / The angel on the outside.”

A Voodoo Doctor “The Doctor” came across a girl who looked lost and scared, crying in the alley way behind his lab. He used his magic to turn her into a doll, but his spell was disrupted from her terrifying and taunting screams, she remained half human, half doll. As Raven lived in the dark world of the Doctor, she secretly learned his magic and conjured up a demon, Muppet, who she made her eternal protector and trapped him inside her heart. The Doctor and Muppet created Stitches to search for those who are looking to join our dark world in the 13th hour.

Raven Black released their first Single, “Died Inside” on September 7, 2013 at The Roxy, selling out the venue that night. They continued to work in the studio and released their first EP, “Midnight Dreary” in June 2014, successfully packed the house at the famous Viper Room.

It was fun and the only thing missing was the big mosh pit, LOL, although there was a small handful of metalheads respresented this year at SXSW. “

After returning back home to Los Angeles, the band quickly prepared for their first Headliner Tour, The Hex O’Clock Tour, which kicked off in Guadalajara, Mexico at the Roadhouse Voodoo Bar, July 7, 2017 and returned to the U.S. to begin their onth long tour throughout the U.S. from coast to coast.

Inviolate Releases Official Music Video for “Broken Cycle”

Atlanta-based rock/metal/industrial band Inviolate has released their brand new music video for “Broken Cycle”, the second single from their August 2017 full-length CD The Insomniac’s Dream. Originally premiered on Tattoo.com, “Broken Cycle” was shot by Chance White of White Flame Studios at both the complex of the Safety Wolf facility and Atlanta’s Big Peach Studios.

Musically we wanted the song to build from soft and haunted at the beginning to a feeling of resolution and agency by the end. You’re taking a stand and saying ‘I refuse to play the victim to my circumstances’ but there’s acknowledgment that you can’t always go at it alone. You have people in your corner who have your back when you might falter. The imagery of the swordswomen embodies that aspect of the lyrics. – Inviolate

“Broken Cycle” features seven members of Inviolate’s “2.0” lineup (click HERE to read about Inviolate’s unique band member configuration), as well as the Sisters of Anarchy, a troupe of modern fusion bellydancers wielding scimitars in a choreography that vocalist Kadria created specifically for the video.

“This video showcases for the first time how Inviolate 2.0 works with rotating members on any given 4-person lineup. The final chorus shows every member who played on the video (and album) in single shots of all 7 of us rocking out,” says Kadria. “We’re one huge extended family, and we wanted to visually represent that through the entire video.”

INVIOLATE: 1. adj. Not violated or profaned; intact, free from violation, injury, desecration, or outrage.

Originally founded with Bryon Brown on guitar, Chris Farmer on bass and vocalist/sample engineer Kadria, Atlanta’s Inviolate continues to create and perform with Kadria at the creative helm, along with an array of the southeast’s finest rock and metal talent for live shows (musicians who play live with the band are part of “Inviolate 2.0“) and in the studio. Inviolate’s sound is multi-faceted, defying the labels of mere “metal”, “rock”, “electronica”, even “industrial” but a sonic blend of all. To visually augment the sonic onslaught, Kadria adds the moves of a bellydancer which, by turns, emphasize delicacy and aggression according to the music’s mood. This combination produces a visual in their live show unlike any other in the rock and metal world.

Inviolate signed to Strange One Records in April 2012 and released a 7-song album titled “Feast of Ashes”, co-produced with Mike Froedge(doubleDrive/Black Label Society) in June 2012, as well as a video for its first single “Condemned, ” directed by Gustavo Montana of At Dusk Media. The album and video garnered Inviolate a trifecta of nominations at the 2013 Georgia Music Awards for Best Metal BandBest Rock Female, and Video of the Year, and again in 2014 for Best Metal Band and Best Rock Female. “Feast of Ashes” also won Tampa’s Rock Solid Pressure Show’s “2014 EP Of The Year.”

Inviolate has shared the stage with a wide range of hard rock, metal, industrial and even acoustic heavyweights including Static-XWhitechapelButcher BabiesMushroomheadPowerman5000AmarantheEpicaSOiLOne-Eyed DollCelldwellerSymphony X, and Angie Aparo.

In early 2017, Inviolate returned to the studio to record their full-length CD The Insomniac’s Dream with co-producer Jordon Popp (Sky Machine/Seven Day Sonnet) at Glass Wall Studio in Chicago, IL. Their first single, “Sisyphus”, dropped with a lyric video in July 2017 and features guest vocals by the Swedish vocal titan Bjorn Strid (Soilwork/Night Flight Orchestra). The Insomniac’s Dream was released worldwide on August 1, 2017 and the band continues to tour the east coast, pushing steadily westward and gaining fans (fondly called Inviolators) at every turn. “I’m super excited about this album,” says vocalist Kadria. “We pushed the envelope on so many levels. And then we got to work with someone like Björn— it’s such an honor to have his voice on one of our songs! And we were thrilled to have Jordon put on his producer’s hat on for our songs. The response we’re getting at every show has been amazing.”
The band continues to tour, with an album of remixes already underway and planned for release early spring 2018. “More shows, more twists, more visual and auditory Inviolations coming your way. We can hardly wait!”

Discrepancies Release Music Video for “Art of War” Off Debut Album ‘The Awakening’

St. Louis Rap/Rock band Discrepancies has released the Official Music Video for their single, “Art of War”, off of their 2016 debut album The Awakening. The “Art of War” music video was filmed and directed by Matthew Goodman.

“‘Art of War’ is metaphor comparing love and war. It’s a story of betrayal. Being in a relationship is a war that you and your significant other fight together side by side as soldiers. Inevitably, an obstacle is thrown at you, leaving you injured. Your partner can either stick it out with you or leave you behind. In the absolute worst case, your partner joins the other side. This song is my interpretation of your soldier joining the other side.” – ATG Metcalf
