DOPE Celebrates 20th Anniversary of debut album, ‘Felons & Revolutionaries’ with Worldwide Tour Alongside STATIC-X, DEVIL DRIVER, WEDNESDAY 13, RAVEN BLACK, & SOIL

dope Promo 20th anniversary

Industrial Metal Lifers DOPE are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their debut album, Felons & Revolutionaries with the launching of a worldwide tour alongside STATIC-X. Kicking off June 18 in Tempe, Arizona, the tour winds throughout North America, Australia, the UK, Europe, and will also include Russia and The Ukraine.

“It’s crazy to think that it has been almost 20 years since Dope’s debut album Felons & Revolutionaries was released.

I’m so grateful for the foundation that the album laid for the band and I appreciate the affinity that so many of our fans have for its raw, unpolished production..”

Felons and Revolutionaries really put Dope on the map. It catapulted us from the streets of NYC to international awareness in such a short time. We toured constantly with bands like Slipknot, Mudvayne, Fear Factory, Powerman 5000, Statind, Sevendust, POD, Kid Rock, and of course Static-X.. We also got to see our music featured in some very prominent movies and soundtracks such as The Fast & The Furious, Scream 3, and American Psycho.
– EDSEL DOPE

On Dope touring with STATIC-X, Edsel states:

“Somehow, everything has all come full circle. In the early days, Dope toured with Static-X more than any other band. We played more than 200 shows together on our debut album cycles and we all became really good friends..

So many tours, so many memories.. It’s really surreal to be dong it again 20 years later..

It’s very fitting that Dope is pairing up with Static-X again to celebrate the anniversaries of both of our debut albums..”

And in discussing the passing of friend and iconic front-man WAYNE STATIC:

“It was really sad man! Dope was part of the last North American tour that Wayne did in 2014. So I had the pleasure of touring with Wayne at the very beginning of his career and also at the very end.. I’m very grateful for those experiences, but they obviously left me feeling very sad and angry, after hearing how he passed.. Addiction is incredibly unforgiving & It doesn’t discriminate.. Even still, Wayne’s passing caught us all off guard.. It was shocking and it was sad and it was totally unnecessary..
We lost an incredibly talented friend, a funny and gentle person, who contributed so much to our scene… His voice was incredible and we all mourn his passing because we love and miss the beauty that he contributed to the world… We should also view his passing as a cautionary tale, because too many good people are leaving this earth way too early.. It’s sad and it makes me angry, because it really shouldn’t have happened at all.. I’m glad that Static-X has chosen to memorialize Wayne on this tour! I think it’s an incredibly sincere way form them to pay their respects & to represent his importance and presence within the band, while they celebrate the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin Death Trip.”

For fans hoping for new music from Dope, Edsel offers:

“Dope has a ton of new music recorded for the next album.. The trouble is, I’m a self diagnosed crazy person.. I just can’t seem to put the finishing stamp on things quite yet.. I’m truly sorry! I know that it drives the fans crazy, because they want to hear what I’m working on.. Believe me, It drives me crazy too.. I just have to be in the right head space, in order to commit to the completion of the audio and visual elements that go along with it.. I’m the artist, the producer, the video director, the graphic designer, the manager, and everything else in between for Dope, so it’s allot for me to come to a peaceful place with. Deep down, there is a method to the madness and I’ll get there soon enough….

Right now, I’m just excited to hit the road and party with the Dope fans around the world and to spend time with lots of old friends.. After that, we can turn the page again and focus on completing and releasing some new Dope music.
These shows are gonna be insane!! Many of them are already sold out..

I can’t wait for it to begin!”

Imagine all the elements of a category 5 hurricane, and right in the middle of that storm is the most beautiful sunset… that’s The Clay People.

Whether it’s seeing a live show, or just listening to TCP, there’s a connection made very quickly between band and audience. A sense of comfort, knowing if you had a rough day, or are feeling down, that you can count on TCP to take you away from all that

The Clay People return on Demon Hero and Other Extraordinary Phantasmagoric Anomalies & Fables, an album that captures the band at a creative peak, and was forged from what was at times a tenuous, cathartic, and finally unifying recording process.

On Demon Hero Neet takes on the corrupting influence of modern politics, the silver tongue of the modern demagogue, the ills of groupthink, and the band’s experience with the music industry. “I’ve been plagiarized. I’ve been beat up. I’ve been manipulated… .And we’ve got nothing left to lose,” Neet confesses on the anthem “Bloodletter.”.

The Clay People’s self-titled album was released on Mercury/Slipdisc records, and their furiously propulsive lead single “Awake” climbed the radio charts. The band toured with Disturbed, Stained, Clutch, Rob Zombie, Static X, Stabbing Westward, and Filter.

“Awake” was featured in films such as Strangeland, Universal Soldier 2, and Marked For Death.

The band called in extended members of its musical family to contribute to Demon Hero. Chris Wyse of The Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehly, The Cult, and OWL, contributed bass to the band’s reinterpretation of fan favorite “Strange Day” and “Gen RX.”. Walter Flakus of Stabbing Westward, and one-time Clay People member, contributed keys. Wade Alin, who added programming to the band’s self titled release, returns on Demon Hero.

Dinsmore and McGarvey produced the album, turning to producer Neil Kernon (Nile, Queensrcyche, and Nevermore) for the final mix.

“Even when ‘Further From You’ was in it’s early stages, we knew we had something special. It impacted everyone in the band in a different way. Any time a song does that you, you know it means something. Then when you throw producer Ulrich Wild in the mix, it’s game over.” – Dirty Machine

Built to last and refusing to follow the Indie music scene that has been dominating California, Dirty Machine has tasked themselves with bringing homegrown American Nu Metal back to the forefront of the industry. Based out of Los Angeles, the crowd this band draws has been moshing to their down-tuned rhythm since 2012. Consisting of David Leach (front man), Darren Davis (guitar, vocals), Arnold Quezada (guitar), Ben Jovi (Bass). NIGHTMARE (percussion), and DJ Ecusa (turntable); the members of Dirty Machine have brought together their eclectic musical backgrounds to form a powerhouse group that will not be fading away anytime soon.

Whether it is progressing forward with their music or thrashing around on stage, Dirty Machine is always in a state of constant motion. This is a band that does not believe in standing still. With a passionate enthusiasm for their craft which is rarely seen in today’s music, the members of Dirty Machine can make even the most standoffish crowd start head banging. Every live performance is a wildly spirited event.

Dirty Machine has done everything from headlining the Jägermeister stage at the 2016 Kansas City Rockfest to playing a sold out show at the House of Blues Sunset Strip and Viper Room. They have opened for acts such as P.O.D., Hed PE, Otep, Metalachi, Orgy and toured with Insane Clown Posse on “The Great Milenko” tour. Although they are based out of California, they are getting regular airtime on the leading Kansas City rock station 98.9fm and have been taking the state of Missouri and Michigan by storm. Dirty Machine is steadily conquering America one state at a time through their street team, rabid fan base, and the far reaching scope of internet radio.

Inviolate Releases Official Music Video for “Broken Cycle”

Atlanta-based rock/metal/industrial band Inviolate has released their brand new music video for “Broken Cycle”, the second single from their August 2017 full-length CD The Insomniac’s Dream. Originally premiered on Tattoo.com, “Broken Cycle” was shot by Chance White of White Flame Studios at both the complex of the Safety Wolf facility and Atlanta’s Big Peach Studios.

Musically we wanted the song to build from soft and haunted at the beginning to a feeling of resolution and agency by the end. You’re taking a stand and saying ‘I refuse to play the victim to my circumstances’ but there’s acknowledgment that you can’t always go at it alone. You have people in your corner who have your back when you might falter. The imagery of the swordswomen embodies that aspect of the lyrics. – Inviolate

“Broken Cycle” features seven members of Inviolate’s “2.0” lineup (click HERE to read about Inviolate’s unique band member configuration), as well as the Sisters of Anarchy, a troupe of modern fusion bellydancers wielding scimitars in a choreography that vocalist Kadria created specifically for the video.

“This video showcases for the first time how Inviolate 2.0 works with rotating members on any given 4-person lineup. The final chorus shows every member who played on the video (and album) in single shots of all 7 of us rocking out,” says Kadria. “We’re one huge extended family, and we wanted to visually represent that through the entire video.”

INVIOLATE: 1. adj. Not violated or profaned; intact, free from violation, injury, desecration, or outrage.

Originally founded with Bryon Brown on guitar, Chris Farmer on bass and vocalist/sample engineer Kadria, Atlanta’s Inviolate continues to create and perform with Kadria at the creative helm, along with an array of the southeast’s finest rock and metal talent for live shows (musicians who play live with the band are part of “Inviolate 2.0“) and in the studio. Inviolate’s sound is multi-faceted, defying the labels of mere “metal”, “rock”, “electronica”, even “industrial” but a sonic blend of all. To visually augment the sonic onslaught, Kadria adds the moves of a bellydancer which, by turns, emphasize delicacy and aggression according to the music’s mood. This combination produces a visual in their live show unlike any other in the rock and metal world.

Inviolate signed to Strange One Records in April 2012 and released a 7-song album titled “Feast of Ashes”, co-produced with Mike Froedge(doubleDrive/Black Label Society) in June 2012, as well as a video for its first single “Condemned, ” directed by Gustavo Montana of At Dusk Media. The album and video garnered Inviolate a trifecta of nominations at the 2013 Georgia Music Awards for Best Metal BandBest Rock Female, and Video of the Year, and again in 2014 for Best Metal Band and Best Rock Female. “Feast of Ashes” also won Tampa’s Rock Solid Pressure Show’s “2014 EP Of The Year.”

Inviolate has shared the stage with a wide range of hard rock, metal, industrial and even acoustic heavyweights including Static-XWhitechapelButcher BabiesMushroomheadPowerman5000AmarantheEpicaSOiLOne-Eyed DollCelldwellerSymphony X, and Angie Aparo.

In early 2017, Inviolate returned to the studio to record their full-length CD The Insomniac’s Dream with co-producer Jordon Popp (Sky Machine/Seven Day Sonnet) at Glass Wall Studio in Chicago, IL. Their first single, “Sisyphus”, dropped with a lyric video in July 2017 and features guest vocals by the Swedish vocal titan Bjorn Strid (Soilwork/Night Flight Orchestra). The Insomniac’s Dream was released worldwide on August 1, 2017 and the band continues to tour the east coast, pushing steadily westward and gaining fans (fondly called Inviolators) at every turn. “I’m super excited about this album,” says vocalist Kadria. “We pushed the envelope on so many levels. And then we got to work with someone like Björn— it’s such an honor to have his voice on one of our songs! And we were thrilled to have Jordon put on his producer’s hat on for our songs. The response we’re getting at every show has been amazing.”
The band continues to tour, with an album of remixes already underway and planned for release early spring 2018. “More shows, more twists, more visual and auditory Inviolations coming your way. We can hardly wait!”

Crystal Ignite Releases Debut Solo Single “Everything You Break” Featuring Ben Moody

Australian rock artist Crystal Ignite has released her debut single, “Everything You Break,” featuring Ben Moody (Evanescence) off of her upcoming, as yet unnamed EP. “Everything You Break” was written by Crystal Ignite, Andrew Bojanic, and Liz Hooper and produced by Crystal Ignite and  WizardzOfOz.

This is one of the most emotional tracks I have written, it’s a tragic love song, a break up song, all about realizing that the person you loved was not who you thought they were…. Having Ben Moody feature on guitar makes this track even more special…. the breaking Evanesence album he cowrote was extremely influential on me in he was early stages of my career, and is a true honor – Crystal Ignite

To say that Crystal Ignite is excited about returning to Australia to tour would be a total understatement. Crystal is bloody ecstatic! Backed by a stellar new group, the five piece outfit are embarking on an eleven date national run of shows in support of Crystal’s powerful new single “Everything You Break.”

Best known to audiences as the dynamic and empowering frontwoman of globetrotting hard rock act Bellusira (who have sadly called it a day), Crystal Ignite has kickstarted this brand new chapter of her career by pouring her creative heart and soul into an EP’s worth of sessions in Melbourne just last month.

“Everything You Break” (ft Evanescence’s Ben Moody on guitar) is an eclectic mix of tribal drum driven alt-pop that still draws upon Crystal’s love of all things rock, while telling a tragic tale of love gone wrong with the initial deception and eventual personal redemption that encompasses it.

Crystal will also be announcing a touring line-up for her return to the US later in the year.

As a singer-songwriter with Bellusira who released two albums and toured throughout the US, Australia and New Zealand with names such as HalestormSeetherHell YeahThe Misfits, and Fly Leaf, the band also landed on major festivals with KornRob ZombieFive Finger Death Punch, and many more. Crystal’s relocation to Los Angeles also saw her work closely with co-writer Will Hunt (Evanescence) and band member Koichi Fukuda(Static-X).

Having also just secured a world-wide licensing deal with Superpop.co(Sony/ATV and Extreme Music, Crystal Ignite is set to unleash her powerhouse vocals and songs once again, showing why she’s one of the most talented women in rock today.
