Space rock quintet Sleeptalk has released a new music video for their song “Black Hole”. The video was directed by Strange Productions and shot by Wolford Media.
“‘Black Hole’ is about being so far from reality that you have to leave, but there is that someone you love and care about that you don’t want to leave behind,” says vocalist Anthony Fitzpatrick. “Throughout the song I am constantly using the metaphor of being lost in space which is where the title ‘Black Hole’ came from. Myself, as well as the rest of the band, have a huge fascination for space, so there was no hesitation in using that name/metaphor. The video is highly inspired from a movie called Enter The Void which I felt was the most honest fit to inspire this song/video around. ”

It seems to be an all-too-common story lately of bands having their vans broken into while on tour, but no matter how many times you hear it, it’s never an easy pill to swallow. Punk trio Everything Ever were riding high on the recent release of their new music video “Big Ideas” and were getting ready to play a show in Manhattan when their van was broken into. The band lost over $6,000 of gear and personal belongings. In an effort to raise funds, they have applied discounts across their merch store.
“This kind of thing has been happening to a lot of bands lately, and now instead of reading it on my facebook timeline, we’re living it. The most important factor is that nobody was hurt, but losing $6K worth of gear is not exactly a small deal either. We put all of the merch in our possession in our webstore – http://everythingeverband.com – and tried to keep things cheap: $10 for a shirt, $20 for a double vinyl LP, $5 for a CD, and $3 shipping. We don’t want to openly ask for handouts without being able to offer something in return, so we figured this is the best way to raise money right now.” – John Trotta (Bass/Vocals)

“We’re in the process of booking 2 benefit shows in NY and NJ, so we’re hopeful that we can create some really positive times out of this unfortunate situation. We’re really grateful for the support we’re receiving, which is allowing us to continue writing and playing shows while we sort all this stuff out.” – Andrew Paladino (Vocals/Guitar)
Post-hardcore outfit Arms For Elephants have announced their debut full length My Judas Scene to be released on September 1st. Since the 2014 release of their debut EP Identities, the band has grown into their own style of sound that stands out in the post-hardcore genre.
Arms For Elephants has also released a new lyric video single “The Laws That Guide My Feet” from the upcoming album. Pre order a physical copy of My Judas Scene on the group’s Bandpage or download it from iTunes and receive three free tracks instantly.
“We chose “The Laws That Guide My Feet” to be our first single because it captures so many elements of our sound in just a few fleeting measures. Lyrically, the song exhibits multiple voices/characters at various points. Instrumentally it’s one of our more complex songs, and yet remains tethered to one simple hook in the chorus.” – Fletch Archerd, guitars/vocals.
Stockholm electronic pop duo Cape Lion, Carl-Johan “Oa” Sevedag and Martin Wiklund, have released their 6 track EP Corinth, available now on Spotify and iTunes!
Check out Cape Lion’s Lyric Video for “Oh Girl”:
“Though making our EP ‘Corinth’ has been a great experience it hasn’t been without a bit of struggle and a lot of hard work – but maybe that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be. What always kept us going was knowing that in the end it all comes down to the music and how we feel that we grow with each song.” – Cape Lion
